Franschhoek, the most beautiful place for Team Building Excellence.
Winelands Experience, in conjunction with their associates, is pleased to offer the following large group and corporate activities in Franschhoek and the surrounding region.
This list is for illustration purposes only. Further options can be provided based on a specific brief supplied from the client.
For a full day event the trend is to take two or three of the options below and combine them.
A typical team-building scenario:
- +/- 3 hrs of fun & games organised by our Team Building specialist.
- Around midday you have a wine tasting followed by your braai / spit roast lunch.
- After lunch the chocolate people will arrive and you then have some fun tasting and learning how to make chocolates. Having learned how to make chocolate, some of you will be “dragged” up to try making chocolates yourselves.
- By 17:00 hrs you should be ready to go home.

Our team building activities fall into two groups. Franschhoek and the surrounding area based activities and Region based activities. The activities themselves fall into the following categories:
Shared Experiences that will bring your people closer together with fun bonding as the prime objective.
Challenging Team Experiences that require group physical and intellectual participation. Programmes designed to focus on the fun of team work motivating a healthy work culture. These fun activities are grounded in organisational and psychological paradigms, tailored to each team.
Social Activities bringing to a climax end of project, workshop or end of year celebrations.
Team Development (Workshops): The focus is on growing and learning. Activities can be used to reinforce the lessons to achieve the desired objective.

EVENING PROGRAMMES
Murder Mystery Dinner
Murder mystery dinner party caters for a memorable evening of mayhem, mystery and mischief, heaped with good old fashioned fun! An ideal experience of 'level the playing fields' for corporate team-building. Each delegate receives a character profile. Arriving at the dinner dressed in costume each guest takes on the persona of their character. Seated at the dinner table together they unravel a murder mystery to discover who the culprit is! It is preferable to have an equal number of male vs. female. However, cases of "cross dressing" have often produced the most hilarious as well as memorable moments.
Themed Dinner
Spice up your year-end dinner and add a theme to it! Guests will experience a build up prior to the evening that’ll contribute to the excitement. Having a themed dinner will set an informal tone and guests will truly be able to relax. Examples of themes include; Pricilla Queen of the Desert; Austin Powers; Rock ‘n Roll; Red & Green; Witches & Vicars; Casino; Underwater Experience – and many more!!
Stargazing, Picnic & Champagne
This will be an evening to remember – guaranteed! No reason for picnic blankets to only come out during the day! Invite staff, clients or family to enjoy this breathtaking experience! Upon arrival your guests will receive picnic baskets and blankets. They will then proceed to an area where various stargazing equipment will be set up for them to enjoy the beautiful constellations with experts telling them what to look out for! Champagne and chocolates will form an essential part of the evening!
Games Night
Choose a night of fun and games for your team! Various exciting options to combine with your dinner include Casino night, Murder Mystery game, Theatre sport and even Weakest Link! If you have your own ideas let us know and we can tailor this for you. I would rather entertain and hope that people learned something than educate people and hope they were entertained. Walt Disney.
Dinner in Darkness
Your first bite isn’t with your eyes, as you won’t be able to see anything. Choose between Dinner in Darkness where you will be hosted and served by partially blind waiters (in complete darkness), or the Dark Dining experience (as pictured here) where delegates will each don featherweight blindfolds for the duration for the meal. While you surrender to the dark side, a team of attentive servers will help you find your fork, your wine – and when you raise your hand – your way to the bathroom! How many times have you ever had the chance to talk to people without any preconception that sight affords?
