Township Tours

Township tours are unique to South Africa and we like sharing these experiences with visitors with our specialist township tour guides. We offer travellers the option of a full day or half day tour.The tour takes us to one of the many townships which surrounds the city of Cape Town and the towns of the Cape wine lands such as Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl and this is an experience that opens visitor’s eyes to the way in which the biggest portion of Cape Town's population are living. Despite difficult circumstances and poor living conditions, you will experience the vibrancy and spirit of the township’s people.

A few townships are available such as Langa, one of the oldest townships in South Africa, Kayamandi or Khayelitsha, which is the second largest township in South Africa and also Langrug situated near Franschhoek. On tour visitors can expect to see how the people showcase their local industries, community projects and we always try to include a visit to a township shebeen (bar).
